PART 3 : ELIGIBILITY |
|
|
| |
- Must be between 18-30 years of age.
|
|
|
| |
- Be enthusiastic, dependable & eager to experience new ways of life, willing to learn about the culture & people of USA.
|
|
| |
- Not have a criminal record.
|
|
|
| |
- Be able to work in the summer vacation for the entire duration of the program.
|
|
| |
- Must have completed at least one year of a course of study at university level.
|
|
| |
- Practical and functional command of English language.
|
|
|
| |
- Enrolled as a full-time student in a degree granting, post secondary study program.
|
|
| |
- Willing to work in an entry-level job at minimum wages.
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
PART 4 : PROGRAM FEES |
|
|
| |
- Rs. 70,000 for 4 months and Rs. 60,000 for 3 months.
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
Additional Expenses : |
|
|
| |
- Visa application fees - Rs. 7,500 approx.
|
|
|
| |
- SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) fees - US $ 35.
|
|
|
| |
- Airfare return - Rs. 55,000.
|
|
|
| |
- Other living expenses like transportation, housing, meals, personal expenses, etc.
|
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
PART 5 : ADDITIONAL INFORMATION |
|
|
| |
- Assistance will be provided in arranging accommodation. All housing cost has to be paid by the participant.
|
|
| |
- Period following the successful completion of the program. This period can be used to travel around USA. No work is allowed during this 30 days period.
|
|
| |
- This is a cultural exchange /practical training /internship program and not employment.
|
|
| |
- A candidate can take up as many jobs as possible and can work for unlimited hours.
|
|
| |
- Process time: 2 - 3 months from date of submission of complete set of documents.
|
|
| |
- In the hospitality industry, jobs are classified as tipped positions (waiters/servers, bellman, bartenders) and non-tipped positions (kitchen, housekeeping, etc.). Minimum wage prescribed by the US government is $ 5.15 per hour for non-tipped positions and $ 2.13 per hour for tipped positions. The practice amongst guests dining in fine-dining restaurants is to pay 10-15% of the bill amount as gratuities (tips). Persons working in tipped positions earn $ 50-100 per shift as gratuities (tips).

- Housing Deposit & Rent: Some companies require us to collect this in advance from the students. This amount will be collected at the time of issue of visa support papers [DS 2019].

PART 6 : PROGRAM FEE INCLUDES |
|
|
| |
- ONE confirmed placement offer of 30-40 hours per week containing details of hours, pay, uniforms, housing deposits, etc. A participant can work for unlimited hours with several employers.
|
|
| |
- Visa Support Forms necessary to apply for visas.
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
- Pre-departure Orientation
|
|
|
| |
- 24-Hour emergency support in USA for the duration of the program.
|
|
|
| |
- Includes health insurance for the duration of the program.
|
|
|
| |
|

| |
PART 7 : CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY |
|
|
| |
- If no placement is found within 3 months from the date of submission of complete application kit, full fees paid to us will be refunded.
|
|
| |
- If participant cancels the program within 3 months, amount paid will not be refunded.
|
|
| |
- No refunds will be issued once visas have been approved.
|
|
|
| |
- If a student is refused a visa, all fees paid after deducting Rs. 15,000 will be returned if all documents required for claiming refunds are submitted within 3 days of visa rejection.
|
|
| |
- A participant, who has been given a job offer fulfilling the description given in this brochure related to pay, housing & working hours will be considered fully placed and no refund request will be considered. A replacement offer may be requested at an additional fee of US$ 200 if jobs are available. Otherwise the original job offer will be considered valid.
|
|
| |
- Replacement of Forms [DS 2019] will cost US$ 100.
|
|
|
| |
- No fees will be refunded once an applicant has entered USA including changing jobs, termination of employment and / or early departure from USA.
|
|
| |
- SEVIS fees and Visa fees once paid, either by sponsor Organization or participant, are non-refundable.
|
|
| |
- No refund will be given if the visa is denied because the applicant gives false information to the Consulate / Embassy about employment, false educational or other documents, and / or concealed facts about relatives / friends in USA, either legal residents or illegal workers and / or concealed the fact of previous attempt to receive any type of entry visa to the United States and application denial.
